How is ColdFusion 2018 / 2021 / 2023 / 2025 licensed?

 ColdFusion 2025 utilizes subscription-only licensing, which is managed through the Adobe Admin Console. Older versions, prior to 2025, are also subscription-only and will be managed by the FusionReactor Sales Team. A license Key will be sent to the designated contact person via email.

  • ColdFusion Standard (Covers up to 2-Cores)
  • ColdFusion Enterprise (Covers up to 8-Cores)

 

Yes, backwards licensing is supported. If you purchase a CF2025 subscription, you can run CF2023 – but only for as long as your CF2025 subscription is active. You won’t find the CF23 license in the Admin Console, this will come directly from our Sales Team via email.

Your license will eventually expire, but Adobe has implemented a grace period to avoid sudden service disruptions. Specific timelines will be outlined in your EULA or Admin Console notifications.

Licenses for ColdFusion 2025 are managed via the Adobe Admin Console, not the older LWS system.

After you purchase, within a maximum of 3 days, you will receive an email from messages@Adobe.com – This email includes a Link to the Adobe Admin Console, where you have to register to get to your ColdFusion License File.

No. Existing perpetual licenses for CF2021 and CF2023 remain valid and continue to work. Subscription changes apply only to ColdFusion 2025 and later.

Yes, subscriptions through Adobe VIP Marketplace auto-renew unless cancelled in advance. We recommend notifying us at least 15 days before renewal if you wish to cancel.

We currently only sell to customers located in the United States, Canada, and the European Union (including UK). If you’re outside these regions, please contact Adobe directly or locate an authorized reseller in your country via the Adobe Partner Finder.

ColdFusion 2025 uses online activation via Adobe Admin Console. No serial keys are used. You must assign the license to your Adobe Admin Console account to activate the product.

The licensing is 1 license per server. Additionally, you must license enough to cover your cores (or vCores). ColdFusion Enterprise licenses cover up to 8 cores per machine, while Standard licenses cover 2 cores per machine.
